In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of variety estimations with application of two systems of identification - on the basis of morphological and protein traits. The comparative evaluation of accuracy grade of the presented methods of estimation was given. There were determined traits which were general and specific for a variety both at morphological and protein criterion levels. In course of the study there were used new created in Belarus varieties of winter soft wheat (Triticum aestivum): Akademicheskaya; Priozernaya; Mogilevskaya; Avangardnaya. Analysis of manifestation of morphological traits was realized in accordance with 16 characteristics. The evaluation of soft wheat varieties made it possible to reveal general and variety specific traits which were stated in 18.8%. The identical degree of revelation over the whole set of varieties was typical for 43.8% of morphological traits. Analysis of protein markers showed different degree of summary component composition of protein spectrum of the analyzed varieties. It was recommended to use a complex approach to identification for genetically close varieties.
