In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was realized an evaluation of biological efficiency of soil herbicide Kallisto, SC (a.i. Mezotrion, 480 g/l, Great Britain) against annual dicotyledonous weeds in fiber flax (Linum usitatissimum) by means of its application after sowing before the crop seedlings emergence at the rate of 0.2-0.3 l/ha. In course of the study there was analyzed the agronomic and economic efficiency of Kallisto in fibre flax seedlings (yielding capacity, preserved yields; total length and technical length of flax straw and flax seeds). Research results showed that the analyzed herbicide was effective against lamb's-quarters (Chenopodium album); winterweed (Stellaria media); hemp-nettle (Galeopsis tetrahit); gallant soldier (Galinsoga parviflora); and cruciferous weeds. In the conditions of fiber flax crops weediness with barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli); corn mayweed (Matricaria inodora), persicaria (Polygonum) species and perennial weeds it was necessary to apply the analyzed herbicide in the system with other herbicides.
