In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was realized a review of herbal, tissue and other antibiotics-free drugs recommended for treatment and preventive maintenance of cow mastitis. Results of the realized analysis showed that the veterinary science and practice now has a big number of such medical products possessing antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and stimulating properties which do not demand rejection of milk after treatment of animals. Herbal anti-mastitis drugs do not render the expressed irritating influence on mammary gland tissues, are allocated with milk for a short period of time and possess high medical efficiency. Its purpose can be combined with application of other kinds of therapy and pharmacological measures. Tissue preparations and other drugs have nonspecific effect on all organisms and make active functioning all bodies and systems as a whole. Under influence of these preparations the tone of the central and vegetative nervous system increases, increases immune-biologic reactance, regenerative processes in the sick bodies amplify. Thus, the content of hemoglobin, erythrocytes, leukocytes, and bacterial action of blood increases, the content of gammaglobulins in blood increases activity of enzymes and opsonophagocytic index. Tissue preparations make active a metabolism and synthesis of animal protein.
