Analysis of fruit, seed and juvenile traits resulting from reciprocal crosses between C. cathayensis and C. illinoensis | 山核桃与美国山核桃正反交种实及苗期性状的分析

英语. Controlled pollination was performed between C. cathayensis and C. illinoensis. Based on two - year data, traits of fruits, seeds and juvenile seedlings were measured and analyzed. It has been shown that crosses between C. cathayensis and C. illinoensis were fertile and maternal parents had some effects on fruits and seeds resulting from crosses to some extent. Different cross combinations influenced fruit mass, seed mass, the ratio of fruit height to diameter, fruit peel thickness and the percentage of seed weight to fruit weight most significantly; fruit peel thickness was influenced significantly, seed mass and the percentage of seed weight to fruit weight were influenced most significantly, and fruit weight and the ratio of fruit height to diameter were not influenced by different years; the interaction between cross combinations and years had a most significant effect on fruit mass, seed mass, the ratio of fruit height to diameter, seed mass and the percentage of seed weight to fruit weight and had no effect on fruit peel thickness. The percentage of the number of seedlings to the number of seeds between two crosses was combinations influenced seedling height and the higher than that of open pollinated seeds and different cross number of leaflets per compound leaf most significantly and had no effect on the basal diameter of seedlings.
