HIGH LEVELS OF BANANA WASTES IN CRIOLLO AND CC21 PIGS | USO DE ALTOS NIVELES DE RESIDUOS FOLIARES DEL PLATANO EN CERDOS CRIOLLO Y CC21

Se utilizaron 22 cerdos machos enteros Criollo y CC21 con 31.0 kg de peso promediodistribuidos según un diseño de Bloques al azar para estudiar su comportamiento frente a una dieta alta en fibra (14.46%) compuesta por harina de residuos foliares del plátano (30%); miel B (46.7%) y harina de soya (20.2%). La ganancia media diaria (g) y la conversión alimentaria (kg MS/kg ganancia) fueron mejores en los cerdos CC21 (494 y 5.19 vs 384 y 6.11 respectivamente). Además se observó en los cerdos criollos un 20% de deformaciones en las extremidades lo cual no sucedió en los CC21. Esto hace pensar en un posible aumento en las necesidades de calcio y fósforo, que necesita verificarse, en los cerdos Criollo. Se comprobó que las dietas altas en fibra afectó los rasgos de comportamiento de ambas razas, pero en mayor cuantía al cerdo criollo. Se concluye que los cerdos CC21 tienen mejores ganancias y conversiones alimentarias (20 y 17% respectivamente) que los criollos, frente a dietas altas en fibra

英语. Twenty two Criollo and CC21 entire males with 31kg live weight were used in a Randomized Blocks design in order to study their performance on a high fiber diet (14.46%). Banana wastes meal (30%), B molasses (46.7%) and soybean meal (20%) were the main components of the diet. Daily gain (g) and feed conversion (kg DM) were better in CC21 (494 and 5.19) than in Criollo (384 and 6.11). There were leg weakness in 20 % of Criollo and 0 in CC21. It is possible that Criollo needs a higher content of Ca and P in the diet than CC21. This high fiber diet affected performance but was grater in Criollo than CC21. It is concluded that CC21 pigs have better gains (20%) and feed conversions 17%) than creoles on this diet with a higher content of fiber.
