So far the morphological measurements of the animals have been performed manually using instruments such as Aparicio stick or tape causing stress to the animal and danger to the operator who performs. Moreover, the technique known as Photogrammetry is used to obtain the 3D coordinates of any object from two or more pictures of it. Our work aims to bring this new technique for morphometric study of domestic breeds. We use 5 dairy cows and 5 saddle horses. The animals were measured manually using the traditional method and then using photogrammetric techniques. We selected 11 morphological measures standardized and compared the results with statistical analysis that shows a high correlation between the results obtained using both methods, which prove the reliability of the photogrammetric technique.
