To investigate the situation of feed management and comparing to desirable situation, at first stage under recording dairy farms and at the second stage by selecting typical units, under recording dairy farms and other units were visited. Since studing the feed management in there units needed to data of milk production, feed intake and classification of dairy cows, verbal interview with owners ,filling up questionnaire and used from available data in center of improvement of farm animal of Iran. sampling was done from feed intake in the units. For evalution nutrienst requirement dairy cows used from table( NRC 1989).In the first stage between intake dry matter ,net energy lactation, crude protein, calcium ,phosphorous and requirement was significant difference(pO/OOl\} and average 4/15 kg DM, 0/081 meal/kg NEL ,653 gr CP ,93 gr Ca and 47 gr P for each in highest product group of dairy cows in under recording Tehran province was intake more of requirement. In this experiment units was compared in 3 group (90, 91 - 199 , 199cow),difference amount intake and requirement drymatter, net energy lactation, crude protein, calcium and phosphorous for every group was very significant (p0/001) and between groups difference was significant (p0/01) .Also units was compared in 2 group management (average excellent group less and more than 40 kg milk ).Difference amount intake and requirement DM, Ca, P was very significantfor both group (p0/001) ,CP and NELfor group more than 40 kg difference intake and requirement was significant (p0/05) and for group less than 40 kg was very significant (p0/001) .Between this two group ,difference intake and requirement net energy lactation and crude protein was significant (p0/01).The results indicated in group of more 40 kg milk, difference intake and requirement was less than another group. In second stage experiment difference intake and requirement drymatter and nutrients were compared in units under recording and units unrecording which both had only one group dairy cow. Also this comparison was done in highest product group dairy cow in units with more than one group dairy cow. In both comparisons, different of intake and requirement drymatter and nutrients weren't significant. The difference of intake and requirement drymatter ,in units under recording with one or more than one dairy cow group and units unrecordiing with one and more than one dairy cow group, was 4/42, 3/90, 3/29 and 3/86 kg, net energy lactation 0/08, 0/06, 0/07 and 0/07 meal/kg, crude protein 0/83, 0/56, 0/45 and 0/48 kg. calcium 68,72,73 and 64 gr , and phosphorous 32,39,37 and 31 gr respectively. This experiment results indicated that drymatter and nutrients intake were more than requirement in dairy farm units.
