The task of investigation was to propose technological processes, which would testify that, thinking economically and ecologically, we obtain a waste-less technology, which conforms to the tendencies of the developed world's countries. Thus, if the chemical processing of wood and the fast-to-renew raw material basis would develop in Latvia in the future, then potential by-products could be lignin, lignocellulose, and cellolignins. With this project's implementation, we have shown that these by-products as well as woodworking residues can be a raw material for creating new effective environmentally friendly filtering materials for the adsorption of heavy metals from heavy metal containing systems - lignin→bark→cellolignin→wood chips→lignocellulose.
