The dissertation pursues the aim to explore the operation of national central banks of the EU Member States within the European System of Central Banks, to examine their integration trends and to present proposals for expanding the integration process. Views on the effectiveness of the ESCB formation and tasks are reviewed; indicators of EU NCB accountability and independence, operational transparency and efficiency are evaluated. Methods of ranging and clustering are used to compare the operation of EU NCBs and to estimate their performance indicators. The operational dynamics of NCBs of the Baltic States and Danmarks Nationalbank are subject to in-depth analysis. Approbation of the methodology used confirms its practical applicability and is conducive to the assessment of ESCB integration tendencies and perspectives.

拉脱维亚语. Promocijas darba mērķis ir izpētīt ES valstu centrālo banku darbību Eiropas Centrālo banku sistēmā (ECBS), analizēt integrācijas tendences un izstrādāt priekšlikumus tās padziļināšanai. Izvērtēti viedokļi par ECBS izveides lietderību un uzdevumiem, ES valstu centrālo banku atbildības jomas un neatkarības, darbības caurredzamības un efektivitātes nostiprināšanās, kā arī darbību raksturojošie rādītāji. ES valstu centrālo banku darbības salīdzināšanai un integrācijas novērtēšanai izmantotas ranžēšanas un klasteru analīzes metodes. Padziļināti analizēta Baltijas valstu centrālo banku un Danmarks Nationalbank darbības rezultātu dinamika. Metodikas aprobācija pierāda tās praktisko lietojamību un ļauj novērtēt ECBS integrācijas tendences un perspektīvas.
