In this study shallow groundwater and river water chemical analysis has been accomplished, to describe Baronu HPP reservoir impact on shallow groundwater quality. Groundwater level measurements were made and river water and shallow groundwater physical and chemical parameters (EC, to, pH) in situ were determined, chemical parameter analysis, using spectrophotometric and titrimetric methods, was conducted during low and high water periods, to analyse their changes and reasons in great detail. The results show that reservoirs have a negative influence on groundwater quality during high water periods.
