To study the performance of Kundhi buffaloes under urban commercial dairy farming in Hyderabad, the buffalo dairy farms managing Kundhi breed were surveyed during the year 2007. From the records of last ten years required data was acquired. The lactation milk yield of Kundhi buffalo was significantly affected by the advancement of lactations and peak lactation milk yield (3240.50 plus minus 128.46 litres) was recorded in the third lactation, while the lowest (2131.50 plus minus 121.45 litres) lactation milk yield was in the first lactation. The lactation milk yield in the second lactation was 2418.44 plus minus 220.15 litres, while in the fourth lactation it was 2705.80 plus minus 240.50 litres, the fifth lactation 2340.60 plus minus 208.80 litres and in the sixth lactation 2204.40 plus minus 190.95 litres.
