Determination of transphosphatidylation activity of phospholipase-D by thin layer chromatography

Phospholipase-D isolated from Pistachia Khinjuk was used for the transphosphatidylation. The activity of transphosphatidylation of enzyme was estimated spectrophotometrically and by thin layer chromatography. Enzyme was used in both soluble and immobilized form. In the substrate (Phosphatidylcholine) choline was replaced by serine resulting in the formation of phosphatidylserine.
