Growth response of Dracaena deremensis to different potting media

Present research studies were envisaged with a view to find out the effect of different potting media, namely Soil (control), Sand + Peat (1:1), Sand + Peat + Silt (1:1:1), Sand + Soil + F.Y.M. (1:1:1), Sand + Spent compost (Button) (1:1), Sand + Peat + Spent compost (Button) (1:1:1), Sand + Silt + Leaf manure (1:1:1), Sand + Silt + Leaf manure + Spent compost (Button) (1:1:1:1), Sand + Peat +Spent compost (Oyster) (1:1:1), Sand + Silt + Leaf manure + Spent compost (Oyster) (1:1:1:1), Sand + Silt + Spent compost (Button) + Spent compost (Oyster) (1:1:1:1), Silt + Spent compost (Button) + Spent compost (Oyster) (1:1:1) on the development and productivity of Dracaena plant. It was observed that T7 had maximum (1.423) number of sprouted buds followed by T9 which gave 1.09 sprouted buds per plant that showed superiority over other treatments.
