Effect of different phosphorus sources on growth, seed yield and oil quality of two cultivars of canola (Brassica napus L.)

The research study was conducted using RCBD with split plot arrangement in three replications. Plot size was 5 x 2.4m, with different phosphorus fertilizers (Mono ammonium phosphate, Diammonium phosphate, Nitrophos and Single. super phosphate) were kept in sub plots and cultivars (Bulbul-98, and Dunkled) were kept in main plots. Measurements of crop growth and yield parameters were made to check the efficiency of different phosphorus fertilizers and performance of two canola cultivars. Results obtained shows that number of plants m-2 were not significantly affected by two Canola cultivars and by different phosphorous sources while plant height (cm) was differed significantly by two cultivars. Maximum plant height (208.61 cm) was recorded in Bulbul-98. While the effect of different phosphorus sources on plant height (cm) was non-significant. Two Brassica cultivars significantly affected the number of branches per plant number of siliquae per plant, number of seeds per siliqua
