The environment in which a city is originating and developing always used to have and still has an enormous importance for shaping its body and urban silhouette. The purpose of the thesis is a description of interdependence between original natural conditions of the city and its location on greenery areas as well as description of a role of a river and a hill in the process. In the initial period of town formation process the presence of heights independent of their forms is decisive. A river is a barrier, a quite important obstacle for location of greenery areas along its banks
