The aim of the work was to estimate yield, biometric characteristics and energetic parameters of Miscanthus sacchariflorus with relation to age of the plants. The yield of biomass in first year of research was rather small, plants have developed several leaves with height up to 120 cm. Densification of the plants and the yield increased during second year of vegetation. Third year can be recognized like first year of proper yielding. Plant covered soil surface completely, high of the plants accounts up to about 220 cm and the yield at about 1,26 kg/square m. Estimation of important energetic parameters, ash and some chemical elements content proved that better energetic raw material is biomass harvested in third year rather than the one harvested in first year of vegetation
