The work presents the results of three - year investigation involving the effect of increasingly higher nitrogen doses on the yielding of winter hard wheat of Komnata cultivar. In this experiment were the levels of nitrogen fertilization:60,90 and 120 kg/ha. Average grain yield from the whole examination period amounted 4.01 t/ha and was significantly diversified as a result of nitrogen fertilization. Application of 60 (BBCH 29) kg/ha did bring about considerable increase in grain field by 1,03 t/ha in comparison to the control treatment. Higher dose of nitrogen N=90, divided according to the pattern (60 BBCH 29 + 30 BBCH 32) kg/ha, provided for further increase in yield size 0,61t/ha (The highest dose introduced to the experiment equalled 120 kg, divided as follows: (60 BBCH 29 + 60 BBCH 32) proved to be not effective regarding grain yield size. The net productivity of nitrogen dose of 60 and 90 was medium-high, and over 90 kg has decreased to zero
