英语. Planning is one of the basic functions of management in company. Decisions made by planning are about the targets, programs and plans which directs the overall strategy of the company. The intention of every good company is to achieve technological concurrency on the market, which can be realized with constant need for development of new products and conquest of new markets. To achieve these targets it is necessary to have and apply a good planning system and marketing concept of new product development. To be able to define a long-term development plan of production program for some company, should be done many comlex activities and research. The process of developing a new product takes place in several stages. This paper deals with the planning phase and designing of new product.

Planiranjem se donose odluke o ciljevima, programima i planovima čime se usmerava celokupna strategija kompanije. Cilj svake dobre kompanije je postizanje tehnološke konturentnosti na tržištu, što se ostvaruje konstantnom potrebom za razvoj novih proizvoda i osvajanjem novih tržišta. Za ostvarenje ovih ciljeva neophodno je imati i primenjivati dobar sistem planiranja i marketinški koncept razvoja novog proizvoda. Da bi se mogao definisati dugoročni plan razvoja proizvodnog programa neke kompanije, treb obaviti mnoge složene aktivnosti i istraživanja. Proces razvoja novog proizvoda odvija se u više faza. Ovaj rad bavi se fazom planiranja i projektovanja novog proizvoda.
