In this paper we examined the productivity of Simmental cattle on the area of the municipality of Leskovac (Serbia). We used the data from the basic registry of three selection departments which cover this region. Our work based on the data of 715 lactation cows, starting from the first up to the sixth or more. The average duration of lactation period was 305 days. The average milk production was 4117 kg with 3.84% of FM. We concluded that cow nutrition was not satisfactory. In our opinion experts in this field together with the cow breeders should pay more attention to this issue.
