Nowadays composites similar to paper made from mineral fibers are very prospective materials because of their high water absorbing capacity and resistance exposure to concentrated acids. As the object of this research was chosen glass fiber also because of its chemical resistance. Increase in diameter leads to a decrease of chemical loss of glass fibers during experiments. Materials' absorbency of water and aqueous solutions is expressed in millimeters as a result of lifting the liquid to strip the paper width 15 mm within 10 min. Maximum absorption capacity was found in samples of sheet material made from micro-fine fibers.
