In order to investigate the main effects (hybrid, planting date) and interaction (hybrid x planting date) a three year experiment was carried out. Three hybrids (Miro, Rimi, Pobednik) and eight planting dates were included in the experiment. AMMI model was performed, which evaluate main effects and also interaction. The interaction was detected by using AMMI1 biplot. Oil content was predominantly influenced by hybrids (69.6%), after that by the year of investigation (10.3%) and by planting date (6.8%). All interactions, excluding second degree interaction, were highly signficant. AMMI ANOVA showed highly significant differences only for first principal component (IPC1). Hybrids Miro and Pobednik had significantly higher oil content in relation to Rimi. Planting dates showed also signficant effects on oil content. Hybrid Miro showed highest stability for oil yield. Graphical presentation of AMMI1 in the form of biplot could faciliate the choice of stable hybrids and planting dates for desired characters in sunflower.
