Evaluation of the efficacy of midas 7.8% SL for the control of the date palm termite, odontotermis classicus sjost (isoptera: termitidae) in the Northern State

Experiments were carried out in 2007 and 2008 in two irrigated sites in Gushabi area, Northern State to evaluate the efficacy of different dosage rates of Midas 17.8% SL for the control of termites on date palm. All tested rates of Midas 17.8% SL significantly reduced termite attack throughout the duration of the experiments compared to the untreated control. In both years, no termite activity was observed in the treatments in which Midas was applied at the higher rates of 13 ml/tree and above
