To prediction of culmination discharges in torrent watersheds of High Tatras after wind calamity | K predikcii kulminačných prietokov v bystrinách Vysokých Tatier po vetrovej kalamite

The paper deals with the prediction of culmination discharges in two torrent watersheds of High Tatras before and after disturbance of forest ecosystems by wind calamity (19. 11. 2004). The calculations were realized in torrent watersheds Hlboký potok (watershed area Sp = 4,881 square km, forest coverage before calamity Sples= 74,80%, forest coverage after calamity Sples k= 48,39%) and Skalnatý potok (watershed area Sp = 9,365 square km, forest coverage before calamity Sples= 51,71%, forest coverage after calamity Sples k = 40,72%). The calculations were realized by SCS-CN - method for precipitations amount with different time of duration and different time of discharges. In both of analyzed torrent watersheds are the culmination discharges higher after disturbance of forest ecosystems through wind calamity.
