Study was conducted to investigate the performance of feeding molasses distiller's soluble by-products (MDSB) as feed supplements in finishing pigs. Chemical analysis indicated that MDSB contained 93.1 percent moisture, 0.86 percent crude protein, 5.1 percent invert sugar, and 0.98 percent ethyl alcohol. Sixteen barrows at finishing period were divided into two groups: MDSB and non-MDSB feeding. In MDSB group, pigs were fed finishing diet to MDSB at 1:1 by weight or 2 liters MDSB/head/day, while non-MDSB group, pigs were fed only finishing diet. The study was carried out at both institute and private farm. After 8 weeks, body weight of pigs in MDSB group was averaged 4 kg higher than that of pig in non-MDSB group. Average daily gain of pig fed MDSB was significantly higher than that of pig fed non-MDSB (P LT 0.05). There was no difference in the carcass character, eviscerated organ and white blood cell between the two groups. No blood alcohol content was found in the MDSB group.
