英语. The information about the effects of land use on soil properties has implication for planning land management for suitable land use. This study was conducted to determine the effect of land use on the properties of soils formed on ophiolite in the East Mediterranean. Firstly, the land use of the study area was determined by using remote sensing techniques. Then, some physical and chemical properties of soils under agriculture, forest and rangeland were investigated at the the two depths (0-20 and 20-40 cm) along transects. The agricultural soils had significantly higher clay content and available P, and lower sand content than forest and rangeland.

Bu çalışmada, arazi kullanımının Doğu Akdeniz Bölgesinde ofiyolitler üzerinde oluşan toprakların özellikleri üzerine etkisini ortaya konması amaçlanmıştır. Öncelikle uzaktan algılama teknikleri kullanılarak ofiyolit kayaçları kaplayan araştırma alanının arazi kullanım durumu belirlenmiştir. Tarım, orman ve mera kullanımı altındaki topraklarda hatlar boyunca iki derinlikte (0-20 cm ve 20-40 cm) alınan toprak örneklerinin fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri belirlenmiştir.
