Nematicidal effects of some plant oils against root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita) (Kofoid ve White, 1919) | Bazı bitkisel kökenli yağların kök-ur nematodu (Meloidogyne incognita) (Kofoid ve White, 1919)'na karşı etkisi

This research was conducted to evaluate effectiveness of five plant oils (three essential oils (rosemary, thyme, mint) and two plant oils (garlic, sesame)) against root knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) in 2006-2009. Trial was designed as randomized complete block design with two different nematode inoculum densities (1000, 2000) J2/pot and two different essential oil concentrations (50, 150) pot/l replicated six times. There were no significant differences between nematode inoculum densities and oil volumes used. However, all oil treatments suppressed nematode populations and resulted an increase in root mass tissue. Compared with control groups, among the oils, thyme (%2.82) and garlic (%5.53)yielded the lowest galling on the roots when their contacts with plant tissues were avoided during the applications. Rosemary, mint, and sesame treatments were less effective in reducing galling. Compared with control groups, thyme (2.46)and garlic (2.50) yielded again the lowest egg masses. Such oil studies conducted in control conditions need to be repeated in the field and greenhouse conditions to see the possible differences because nematodes and essential oils could be influenced by different experimental conditions. Application of a rate of 50 μl/plant of thyme and garlic essential oils in the field or greenhouses could give the best results in root nematode control and be a alternative to the current nematicides.

Bu aratırma 2006-2009 yılları arasında, üç farklı uçucu bitkisel yaın (biberiye, kekik, nane) ve iki farklı bitkisel kökenli yaın (sarımsak, susam) kök-ur nematoduna (Meloidogyne incognita) karı etkinlii aratırılmıtır. M. incognita'nın iki farklı ikinci dönem inokulasyon seviyesi (1000, 2000 adet/saksı) ile iki farklı ya younluunda (50 μl, 150 μl/saksı) tesadüfi bloklar deseni eklinde bir çalıma yürütülmütür. Çalımada dozlar ve larva aılama younluu arasında fark görülmezken, tüm yaların nematodu baskı altına aldıı ve bitki kök geliimini artırdıı gözlenmitir. Bitkilerde kök boazı teması önlenerek yapıldıında uygulamalarda urlanmayı azaltmada en önemli etki kontrol grubuna göre kekik (%2.82) ile sarımsak (%5.53) muamelelerinde gözlenmitir. Buna karın biberiye, nane ve susam uygulamalarının daha az etkili olduu ortaya çıkmıtır. Yumurta paketi oluumunu engellemede en iyi skala deeri kontrol ile karılatırıldıında (3.71) yine kekik (2.46) ile sarımsak'ta (2.50) tespit edilmitir. Bu çalıma kontrollü artlarda yapıldıı için kullanılan bitkisel yaların sera ve açık alanlarda uygulandıında nasıl bir etki yapacaı bilinmemektedir. Bitkisel kökenli yalardan kekik ve sarımsaın her bir kök bölgesine (bitki baına) 50 μl'lik dozlarda sera ve tarla uygulamalarında, nematod kontrolünde var olan nematisitlere alternatif oluturabilecei mümkündür.
