The effects of long and short term applications of progestogen containing vaginal sponges and subcutaneus implants on fertility during breeding season in Damascus goats | Aşım sezonunda Şami keçilerinde progestagen içeren deri altı implant ve vaginal süngerlerin uzun ve kısa süreli uygulamalarının fertilite üzerine etkisi

This study was carried out to determine the effect of short and long term applications of fluorogestone acetate vaginal sponges andnorgestomet ear implants on the fertility parameters on Damascus goats. Eighty eight multiparous goats, between 3-6 years of ages, having no fertility problem were randomly assigned to 4 groups as; long term sponge (LTS, n=22), short term sponge (STS, n=22), long term implants (LTI, n=22) and short term implants (STI, n=22). It was concluded that the estrous of the Damascus goats during the breeding season could be synchronized succesfully by the short or long term application of the FGA sponges and norgestomet implants with the combination of PMSG and PGF2alpha. No difference in the fertility parametersin the short or long term application were detected. Short term applications were found as succesful as long term applications. Therefore the short term applications were found to be more useful for the flexiblity of the usage in the field conditions.

土耳其. Çalışma; üreme sezonunda Şami ırkı keçilerde, fluorogeston asetat (FGA) içeren vaginal sünger ve norgestomet içeren kulak altı implantların uzun ve kısa süreli kullanımlarının fertilite parametreleri üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla düzenlendi. Araştırmada; sağlıklı, en az bir doğum yapmış, yaşları 3 ile 6 arasında değişen 88 Şami keçisi kullanıldı. Keçiler uzun süreli sünger (USS, n=22), kısa süreli sünger (KSS, n=22),uzun süreli implant (USİ, n=22) ve kısa süreli implant (KSİ, n=22) olmak üzere rastgele 4 eşit gruba ayrıldı. Sonuç olarak aşım sezonunda FGA içeren vaginal sünger ve norgestomet içeren kulak implantlarının PMSG ve PGF2alfa ile kombine edilerek kullanımı ile östrüslerin başarılı bir şekilde senkronize edilebileceği kanaatine varıldı. Uygulamaların kısa (6 gün) veya uzun (14 gün) süreli olmasının fertilite parametrelerinde bir fark meydana getirmediği, kısa süreli uygulamalarının fertilite açısından uzun süreli uygulamalar kadar etkin olduğu, saha şartlarında yapılan uygulamalarda süre açısından daha avantajlı olduğu kanısına varıldı.
