The results indicated that in the relatively normal condition of three rice seasons per year, the rice yield got highest at winter-spring (ÐX) season, then summer-autumn (HT) season and lastly was autumn-winter (TÐ) season with the rice yield arranged in succession were 6.90, 4.74 and 4.15 T/ha. Although farmers got highest profit in the ÐX season, the rate of cost's investment of only 1.04 by 1 ðồng' investment; whereas this was of only 0.38 in TÐ. And lastly, this return was only 0.28 for HT. The analysis of cost production showed that there were total 16 main items of cost in one rice production season. In average, Variable costs, such as rice seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, contributes more than half of the total production costs (54.9%); (ii) Labour costs, including hire labours, land preparation, sowing, transplanting or fill gap, water pumping, weeding, fertilizer application, and pesticide spraying occupied 15.8%; and (iii) cleaning reached neatly 1/3 of the total cost of rice production (29.4%).
