Polyembryony is common phenomenon of fruit crops in general and in Citrus spp in particularly. Polyembryony was referred as two different kinds of genetic origin existence in one seed: nucellar (somatic or asexual) and zygotic (sexual) embryo. Thus, seeds of polyembryony in fruit crops have advantage and shortage factors. Many economically important citrus cultivars produce asexual (nucellar) as well as sexual (zygotic) embryos. A central problem for breeder is to distinguish these zygotic seedlings from polyembryony seedling population. Got-1 and Got-3 isozymes analysis have been used to distinguish hybrid (sexual seedlings) from F1 progenies of two cross combinations: No.1 and No.2. In cross combination No.1 (TN1 x BQ-1), seed parent-TN1 produced polyembryony seeds. Of about 96 seedlings samples used for Got-1 and Got-3 isozyme analysis: 21 were determined as hybrid plants, 75 could not be able to determine whether they are nucellar or zygotic plants. In cross combination No.2 (TN1 x YH-2), of about 120 seedlings samples used for Got-1 and Got-3 isozyme analysis: 27 were determined as hybrid plants, 70 were recongnized to be developed from nucellar embryos, and 23 were not determined. Results of study showed that: Got isozyme marker can be useful tool in recognization of zygotic itrus spp hybrid.
