The study presents results of growing Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni seeds in vivo. The seeds were obtained from plants, grown in the Agricultural Institute – Shumen in 2009. They were sown in a soil substrate - peat, sand and perlite in 4: 1: 1 proportions. A total of 100 seeds were sown in the three repetitions. The seeds were put on a previously watered soil substrate with a soft pressure, without covering. On the 4th day after the sowing we established an all-round sprouting of the seeds at a stage of cotyledons, all of the fitted seeds were grown - 77%. Some of the plants - 6% - dropped till the 19th day, the rest were well developed and ready for transplanting. During the first month the seeds were cultivated at a photoperiod of 16 hours and temperature of around 20 oС. After this period they were grown in greenhouse for 3 weeks, then 1 week outdoors to prepare them for sowing in the field.
