Experimental work covered the period 2006 – 2008. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of time of sowing in winter wheat-pea mixture on the productivity of forage and protein during two-cut harvesting crops. Studied variants: A - the first date of sowing (25-30 IX); C - second date of sowing (10-15 X); C - the third date of sowing (25-30 X); K - control (10-15 X). First regrowth of green mass was harvesting in a phase buttoning - 25% of flowering of pea and in a phase earing of triticale. Second regrowth of green mass was harvesting in a phase milky ripeness of grain of pea and flowering phase in triticale. Control for forage production – harvested once in phase first pod - milky ripeness in grain of pea and flowering until formation of grain in the triticale. The results show that during two-cut harvesting, optimum time for sowing pea-triticale mixture is the period 25 September to 15 November. In two-cut harvesting pea-triticale mixture, the total dry matter yield increased by 24.8 % in the first date of sowing and 23.3% in the second date of sowing, as compared to the control harvesting only once. The total yields of crude protein from first and second cut are almost equal in the crop of first and second date of sowing. It ranged from 22.92% to 24.34% compared to the yield of crude protein obtained from a pea-triticale mixture harvesting only once.
