In current investigation of field Medi-visna and caprine arthritis encephalitis virus strains is carried in different cell cultures and their cultural characteristics are studied. Different probes from positive animals are used for MVV and CAEV isolation. The culturing is performed in primary and permanent cell cultures. As primary is used cell culture from lamb testicle and as a permanent cell cultures are used ovine chorioid plexus, goat synovial membrane, HELA. McKoy, MDBK, ovine turbinate cell, ovine fetal thymus, bovine turbinate cell, and cell from calf nasal mucosa. For identification of isolated viruses are used neutralization test with 3 positive serums, agar gel immunodifusion test and three semi nested PCR with different base pair nucleotides, multiplying parts from gag, pol u env genes of MVV and CAEV. As a result of current studies on ESP cell culture is isolated one strain MVV and 1 CAEV on Siz R, which are confirmed by neutralization test with 3 sera, agar gel immunodifusion and three semi nested PCR multiolying parts from gag, pol u env as slow viruses.
