In course of the research there was studied the effect of charcoal in pure form and complex nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer produced on its base on yielding capacity and chemical composition of barley (Hordeum vulgare). The research was realized in the conditions of south region (Gomel) of the Republic of Belarus in 2009-2010 on sod-podzolic pithy sandy loam soil, underlain from depth of 50-70 cm with pulverescent sandy moraine loam. The agrochemical indicators of arable horizon were the following: humus content – 1.66%, pH (in KCl) – 5.4, phosphorous and potassium content accordingly 219-252 mg/kg of soil. Potato (Solanum tuberosum) was a proceeding crop. As a result of realized research it was revealed that charcoal in pure form used in the dose of 1-2 tons per hectare of completely dry matter does not have significant effect on yield of barley and content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in plants. In crops of spring barley agronomic effectiveness of complex nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizers on the basis of charcoal and solid processed mineral fertilizers applied in the dose equivalent by the active substance (N90P60K120,) was virtually identical.
