Frequency of BLAD mutation occurrence among pedigree animals of Belarusian black-motley breed of cattle was determined in a research in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Interrelation of BLAD-syndrome carriage with reproductive ability, sperm quality and relative pedigree value was analyzed, as well as milk efficiency of pedigree cows and growth rates, development and natural resistance of replacement calves. There were proposed methods of solution of a problem of elimination of animal-carriers of genetic BLAD-syndrome and cattle health improvement in the republic. Carriage of the mutation was stated in 1,6% of analyzed producer bulls, 2,0% of highly-productive cows and 1,3% of rearing bull calves. There was stated no significant effect of the mutation on productivity indexes, sperm quality and relative pedigree value of producer bulls, dairy productivity of highly productive cows and indexes of growth and development of rearing bull calves. On the basis of analysis of the results of the morphological and biochemical blood indexes of rearing bull calves carries of the mutation and free of it, there was stated no authentic relation between carrier state of the mutation and indexes of protein content in blood serum, as well as indexes of bactericidal, lysozyme and beta-lysin activity in blood serum.
