In this paper advantages of leguminous crops (pea (Pisum), blue lupine (Lupinus angustifolius), spring vetch (Vicla sativa), and soybean (Glycine max)) and prospects of their cultivation in the Republic of Belarus were shown. There was proposed an optimal structure of sown areas, variety and reproduction assortment. There was given a brief description of new varieties of leguminous crops, as well as key elements of the cultivation technologies of these crops. Research results showed that in case of compliance with the requirements of leguminous crop cultivation made it possible to obtain high seed yields (30-40 centner/ha) in each region of the Republic. For the successful growing of leguminous crops it was necessary to take into account the following aspects: harvesting of blue lupine seeds resistant to anthracnose and with minimal infection transition properties (Pershatsvet; Mirtan; Khvalko, etc.); harvesting of pea seeds of new highly productive technological varieties (Zazerski usatyj; Rezon; Tesej; Armeets; Dovskij usatyj; Multik; Fatset, etc.); urgent substitution of old spring vetch varieties by new ones with higher dry matter and green mass yields and seeds (Mila; Udacha; Ivushka; Nadezhda; Vasilisa; Lyudmila).
