According the specific characteristics, soil-tilling roll possessing rotating device with horizontal axis, should be assigned as rotary soil-cultivating organ. For such equipment one of the main parameters, characterizing working regime, is kinematic regime index (lambda), representing relationship between linear speed of roller's surface and travel speed of roller's center (during uniform rectilinear motion). Every working regime is characterized by a definite trajectory of surface points - cycloid. The research of the influence of pressing roller on changes of soil characteristics according the depth is presented. Trajectory of movement of tillage roller is displayed. Graphs of soil density changes according the depth, depending on regimes of roller work (soil initial stare; flat roller; star-wheeled roller), are shown. Soil moisture content is evaluated and displayed on graph also. Characteristics of soil depth changes under the influence of a smooth and ring-rollers are shown. Research results showed that the increasing of specific loading during the flat roller work there was marked an intensive compaction of upper and lower soil layers, increasing of its moisture, lowering of the coefficient of soil structure. In case of increasing of specific loading of the star-wheeled roller there was marked the increasing of only upper soil layer, increasing of soil moisture.
