In the conditions of the Republicof Belarus there was realized evaluation of the efficiency of a new plant growth retardant (inhibitor) Messidor, SC with two active ingredients at different application rates for winter triticale (Triticosecale) crops Mikhas variety against plant lodging, changes of population number of sucking pests and formation of the crop yielding capacity. In course of the study there was showed action of the retardant on change of sucking insect number in the field agrocoenosis and winter triticale grain yield. There were determined the biometric crop parameters changes (plant height, internode length) at the cost of which plant lodging was prevented. Research results showed that application of retardants for winter triticale sowing at the flag phase made it possible to lower crop lodging and lowered plant damage by Sitobion avenae and grain thrips on 32,8-48,8%. The preserved grain yield on the treated seedlings depended on the degree of lodging of the control plants: 4,3 centner/ha in case of lodging and was insufficient (2,6 centner/ha) in case of absence. The highest efficiency was showed by the retardant Messidor, SC in dose of 1,0 l/ha that proved the efficiency of its application for winter triticale.
