In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of studies on the effect of plant growth regulators, harvest time, the use of lifting off the ground and drying and wrapping strips of flax (Linum usitatissimum) straw on yield and quality of flax fiber. Research results showed that the optimum phase for harvesting of flax was an early yellow ripeness which provided higher yields of fiber. Twofold wraps of flax straw in case of yield of 4,0-6,0 t/ha made it possible to increase the quality of fiber on 0,8-1,0 rates and reduced the duration of rest (curing) on 2-4 days. Treatment of vegetating plants with hydrohumate and application of wrapping during pulling at the phase of early yellow ripeness made it possible to obtain fibre yield of 15.3 kg/ha with fiber number 13. The optimal terms for harvesting was the phase of an early yellow ripeness which provided higher yielding capacity of 19,1 centner/ha of flax fiber and its quality (number of long fiber 12,5).
