In course of the research there was evaluated the degree of genetic homogeneity of the inbred lines used as parental components of hybrid maize (Zea mays), there was analyzed the level of hybridity of simple hybrids. The study was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. There were presented the results of research into parental components of maize hybrids according to the data of Seed Quality Test Laboratory. Electrophoretic analysis was carried out in a sample of 100 seeds (for the analysis of the homogeneity of self-pollinated lines, or the level of simple hybrid hybridity) with the extraction of zein with 70% ethanol. The results of electrophoresis analysis showed the presence of a number of molecular forms of zein. According to separate parental lines, genetic non-uniformity, expressed by the presence of several protein biotypes was established. It was established that simple hybrids had several protein biotypes in combination with high values of hybridity level. Using electrophoresis before parental forms sowing at the stage of seeds coming into the Republic of Belarus was recommended.
