In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the influence of zeolite-containing mineral bergmeal from the deposit 'Stalnoye' on crop productivity and transition of 137Cs into plant products. The research was realized in agricultural production co-operative 'Zaryanskij' in Mogilev region in 2009–2010. The density of pollution of an arable layer of soil by 137Cs of the experimental plot was in average 14.5 Curie/square km (537 kBq /square m). Content of Р2О5 - 150 mg/kg of soil, K2О - 182 mg/kg of soil, СаО – 978.3 mg/kg of soil, MgО – 164.5 mg/kg of soil, humus content – 1.96%, рН – 5.60. As a result of realized research there was marked the increase in productivity of green mass of spring rape (Brassica napus) and Indian barnyard millet (Echinochloa frumentacea) after application of bergmeal alone and in combination with mineral fertilizers. Statistic data showed that bergmeal influenced the amount of 137Cs passed from the soil into the biomass of cereal grasses (orchard grass (Dactylis glomerata), meadow fescue (Festuca pratensis), meadow catmint (Phleum pratense)) and maize maize (Zea mays).
