Silage making on the basis of corn (Zea mays) and lupine (Lupinus) was investigated in the condition of the Republic of Belarus as the effective method of fodder nutrition raising. There was analyzed dependence of vegetation period and industrial ripeness from sowing terms. There was analyzed corn and lupine yield depending on sowing terms. There were established chemical contents and nutritive value of corn and lupine green mass and entrance of nutritive value in mixed corn-lupine silage and its losses in silage. There were calculated charges on growing and silage of corn and lupine and realized economical efficiency of growing and preparing of artificial mixed silage. In course of the study there was analyzed chemical composition and nutritive value of green mass of lupine and maize. Yield of nutritive substances in the mixed lupine and maize silage and their losses in the ensilaging process were presented. Structure of expenses for growing and silage-making were analysed. Research results showed that entering of green mass of postcut blue lupine (Lupinus angustifolius)in the ratio of 1:3 increased in 1,4-1,7 times protein nutrient value of silage enriched with minerals and lowered fodder prime cost.
