Eficacia del benomyl y el fludioxonil para el control de Verticillium albo-atrum Reinke and Berthold y V. dahliae Klebahn en semillas de vegetales

西班牙语; 卡斯蒂利亚语. Verticillium albo-atrum y V. dahliae causan marchitez en diferentes especies hortícolas, ornamentales y forestales, y presentan una distribución mundial. Entre 1987 y 2008 fueron la causa del rechazo en Cuba de 38 lotes de semillas vegetales importadas de nueve países de Asia, América y Europa. Se trataron semillas de remolacha y de espinaca infectadas con Verticillium spp. mediante inmersión por 1 min en suspensión de 5 y 10 g de benomyl/L de agua, tratamiento húmedo con 0,05 y 0,1 g de fludioxonil + 40 mL de agua/kg de semillas. Se incluyeron un control seco y un control húmedo, para lo cual las semillas fueron sumergidas en agua por 1 min. Se secaron a temperatura ambiente e incubaron 400 semillas/tratamiento en placas Petri estériles bajo luz fluorescente a 27 °C por doce días. Los tratamientos con 5 y 10 g de benomyl y 0,1 g de fludioxonil/L de agua inhibieron el desarrollo de Verticillium spp. en las semillas. En un ensayo a nivel comercial, se trataron semillas de pimiento y espinaca infectadas con Verticillium spp. (1 t de c/u) por inmersión durante 1 min en una suspensión de 10 g de benomyl/L de agua, y se incubaron según el procedimiento descrito. En ninguna de las semillas tratadas fueron detectados Verticillium spp. El benomyl 10 g/L (inmersión por 1 min) y el fludioxonil (húmedo) a 0,1 g + 40 mL de agua/kg de semillas pueden usarse para la desinfección de semillas de vegetales contra Verticillium spp.

Verticillium dahliae and V. albo-atrum are causal agents of wilt in different vegetable, ornamental and forest plants, readily transmitted in seeds, worldwide distributed and the cause of rejection in Cuba of vegetable seed parcels imported from different countries. Detroit Dark Red beet seeds infected with Verticillium spp. were treated by a) dipping for 1 min in a suspension of 5 and 10 g of benomyl/L of water and b) slurry treatment using 0.05 and 0.1 g of fludioxonil + 40 mL of water/kg of seeds. Dry and humid controls were included, in the last one seeds were dipped by 1 min in water. After treatment, seeds were air dried overnight at room temperature and 400 seeds/treatment were placed in four sterile 20 cm diameter Petri plates, and incubated under fluorescent lamps at 27 °C for 12 days. Treatments with 5 and 10 g of benomyl and 0.1 g of fludioxonil/L of water completely inhibited the development of Verticillium spp., meanwhile slurry treatment using 0.05 g of fludioxonil + 40 mL of water/kg of seeds, and dry and humid controls had 0.2, 3.0 and 3.3 percent of infected seeds, respectively. Sweet pepper (California Wonder) and spinach (Matador) seeds (1 t of each one), infected with Verticillium spp. were treated by dipping during 1 min in a suspension of 10 g of benomyl/L of water, sampled and followed afterward the same incubation procedure described above. In any of the treated seeds were detected Verticillium spp. Benomyl at 10 g/L (dipping 1 min) and fludioxonil at 0.1 g + 40 mL water/kg of seeds (slurry) were effective in the disinfection of vegetable seeds against Verticillium spp.
