A field experiment was conducted during Rabi seasons of 2003-04 and 2004-05 to study the effect of nitrogen and sulphur application on yield attributes and yield of wheat (PBW-343). Two split application of nitrogen( 1/3 basal+2/3 at first node) resulted higher number of spikes/m2, number of fertile spikelets per spike, grain weight per spike and grain yield as compared to three split application (1/2 basal+ 1/4 at tillering+1/4 at milk stage). Application of sulphur with Cosavat@ 25 kg/ha was found optimum for obtaining significantly higher number of spike/m2, grain weight per spike and grain yield over control.
