Improvement of grain yield, some important agronomic traits and tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses are the most important processes for wheat breeding in semiwarm dryland conditions. To obtain adapted cultivars based on grain yield and considered morpho-physiological traits, hundreds durum wheat genotypes were evaluated under variation climatic conditions. These regions include some parts of Golestan, Mazadaran, Ilam, khouzestan, Lorestan, Fars, Kohgiloieh and Boyrahmad and Kermanshah provinces. This research was done in Gachsaran, Khoramabad, Gonbad, Moghan and Ilam stations during five years (2003 _ 2008). Forty projects through crossing blocks, segregating populations, selection of adaptability and yield stability of best genotypes in station and on-farm conditions in various climatically situations. Obtained results in three years experiments (2005-2007) in five stations showed that line Lgt3/4/Bcr/3/Ch1//Gta/Stk with high and stable production had optimum levels of considered traits specially thousand kernel weight. Furthermore lines Altar84/Stn/Wdz-2 and Stj3//Bcr/Lks4 which had adaptability and yield stability are candidates for releasing in semi-warm dryland conditions.
