In order to evaluating resistance of selected sugar beet cultivars and hybrids to beet cyst nematode (Heterodera schachtii), the trial was conducted in completely randomized block design with nine varieties in six replications at two locations including west Azarbayejan and Khorassan provinces. Initial population (Pi) and final population (Pf) of larval stages of the nematode were measured by taking compound soil samples from each plot before planting and after harvesting the experiment. The reproductive factor (Rf) as well as quantitative and qualitative characteristics such as root yield, sugar content, sugar yield, white sugar yield and etc. were measured under infested conditions and analyzed based on Least Significant Differences by MSTAT-C software. The results showed that the highest amount of root yield and sugar yield was produced by the variety F-20701 at Chenaran region. The variety F-20656 could produce high root yield and sugar yield in both regions. Among domestic hybrids, the hybrid 28964 had better situation at Chenaran region for the purposes of investigated traits.
