Evaluation of Otype Genotypes to Rhizomania Tolerance

This research was carried out in order to evaluate of otype genotype to rhizomania, 2 experiment numbered as 121488 and 121588 , each with 36 genotypes were carried out as randomized complete block design replicated 6 times in infested soils of the Fars Agricultural and Natural Resource research Center. (in Zarghan twon) in the year 2009. Each experiment consisted of 34 otype genotypes plus one tolerant check and one sensitive check, totals 36 treatments. After weeding and thinning, the number of plants was recorded and based on morphological characteristics and genotype indices, disease index and growth and uniformity grade were determined. All the recorded data as well as percentage of root rot were accomplished at harvest time. For quantitative the ANOVA was used and mean comparison was carried out by LSD test. For qualitative traits, nonparametric analysis and Friedman test were used. The results showed that there was a significant difference among genotypes under study (á=1%) In two experiment. The results of the experiment no.121488 showed that besides the tolerant check, the genotypes (231*20318*FC709)-1 , (231*20318*FC709)-2, (231*20318*FC709)-4, OT 27624-1, OT 27624-8, OT 27624-10, OT 28875-2 , Tous , 191, OT 27624-16 , OT 28876-14 and the experiment no.121588 the genotypes OT 27620-4, OT 27620-5, OT 27623-4, OT 27623-88, OT 27624-4, OT 26985-5 , 26985 had lowest infection to rhizomania virus ,the best growth and uniformity grade, maximum permanence and lowest root rot. Disease index severity for selected genotypes in study was 3,4,5 in 121488 experiment and 3 and 4 in 121588 experiment that these genotypes was included lowest disease index severity and the best for other traits.
