Yield trial and stability analysis of late and medium maturing hybrids of maize in semi-final stageý.

Twenty six late and medium maturity maize hybrids along with two commercial hybrids(KSC704 and KSC700 as check), were evaluated in 8 locations, using RCBD in three replications, in 2009. Results revealed hybrids No.22, 26 and 28 with 11.292, 11.057 and 11.024 t/ha, produced the highest grain. Based on stability indices and regession coefficients, hybrid 22 revealed as high stable hybrid, while hybrids 22 and 28 revealed as average stable. Based on GGE Biplot, hybrids 22 and 26 were suitable for yield and stability.
