Collection and Identification of Sternbergia lutea and Leucojum aestivium genotypes.

Most of plant species of Amaryllidaceae family have economic advantages in flower busuiness. Study the evoloution of Amaryllidaceae species requires considering differences and similarities of species and cultivars for various commercial purposes.Thus, disturbution maps of Amaryllidaceae species were studied morphological characyteristics using Rishinger resources, Flora Iranica. In the first step, using a G.P.S., indigenous diversity and locations of these species were identifeid and labeld; all botanical chatracteristics and geographical distribution of accessions were recorded. Phenotypic characteristics such as flower color, height of plant, leaf size, and number of leaves, bulb weight and diameter of bulb were measured. In respect of traits related to the flower, hair on stigma, anther based and etc. were also recoreded according to IPGRI descreptors. Analysis of variance showed significant differences between quantitive traits of among samples of various species.Cluster analysis of morphological traits represented that species Sternbergia lutea and Leucojum aestivum to be divided in to two main groups. Indeed, ecotypes of Khoramabad and Alamout were found in the same group but other accessions were located in the other groups.
