Evaluation and selection in bread wheat segregating generations and preliminary yield trial (for temperate regions)

In this study¡ bread wheat segregating populations and generations including: 80 F2's¡ 574 F3's¡ 86 F4's¡ 122 F5's and 129 F6 lines ¡ using modified pedigree- bulk methods were evaluated. Totally¡ 370 single plants from F2's¡ 63 F3's¡ 26 F4's¡ 197 single plants of F5 and 58 lines from F6 generation were selected to participate in next generations and Preliminary bread wheat screening nursery experiment (PWSN) in next year. Some important traits¡ such as resistance to diseases lodging¡ and shattering¡ good tillering¡ plant height¡ early maturity and seed health were selection criteria.
