The aim of this article is to analyze the satisfaction level of foreign tourists in tourism market in Latvia, the factor structure of tourist satisfaction and to identify those factors (components of the trip) in Latvia that increase tourist satisfaction, those that prevent the tourist from feeling dissatisfied and those factors that can work both ways. The article presents and analyses the results of two foreign tourist’s surveys using tourist satisfaction matrix and penalty/reward factor analysis methods. The author recommends to improve questionnaires for foreign tourists, as well as to organise domestic tourism survey.

Šī raksta mērķis ir raksturot ārzemju tūristu apmierinātības līmeņa izmaiņas Latvijas tūrisma tirgū, analizēt tūristu apmierinātības faktoru struktūru un identificēt tos faktorus jeb ceļojuma elementus, kuri palielina tūristu apmierinātību, novērš tūristu neapmierinātību vai arī darbojas abējādi. Rakstā tiek analizēti un novērtēti divu ārzemju tūristu aptauju rezultāti, izmantojot tūristu apmierinātības matricas un soda/balvas faktoru analīzes metodes. Autore piedāvā pilnveidot ārzemju tūristu aptaujas anketas, kā arī pētīt vietējo tūristu apmierinātību.
